Trauma Informed Care

Trauma informed care training is intended to help behavioral health professionals to recognize the symptoms of trauma and the impact of environmental conditions on trauma survivors. Attendees will learn the definition of trauma and its impact on individuals exposed to it. We will discuss symptoms of trauma, how they present, and the differences between trauma symptoms and diagnosis. Learn how to be sensitive to trauma experiences without causing further harm. Understand key elements in behavioral health diagnoses and treatment modalities that can work against trauma informed care. At the completion of this training attendees should have a working knowledge of trauma informed care and be able to apply it to working with the behavioral health population.
