Description:

This workshop will help train community nurses (GRNs trained in Spring 2011) in current knowledge about the overarching approach to chronic disease management in older adults living in the community and review the disease processes and specific management strategies for nurses to employ in patients with specific types of chronic diseases, and with their at-risk spouses/caregivers.

When: Monday, January 9, 2012 from 12:15 - 3:15

Where: Participants may access the workshop via webinar at your own computer or via telephone. Instructions for connecting to the workshop will be emailed along with the PowerPoint file a few days before the session.

GRN Participant Requirements:

In order to meet the requirements for offering PSNA-approved contact hours, there are several steps that must be followed. Please complete each step to ensure that we are able to offer you the 3 contact hours.

  1. You must participate in all 3 hours of the session. Partial credits cannot be awarded.
  2. You will be asked to update your demographic form by answering an additional 2 questions required by our funder prior to your participation in this training update; some of you have already done this (thank you).
  3. You will be emailed the PowerPoint presentation a few days prior to the training, as well as the Webinar link and call-in number.
  4. You must attend the training via Webinar on your own computer (or via telephone), and sign the attestation (the attestation form will be provided) that you attended the seminar for the entire 3-hour session.
  5. You will be emailed a link to a post-test after the training has concluded, which must be completed no later than midnight, Wednesday, January 11th, after the training.
  6. You will also be emailed a link to an evaluation form of the workshop training; you need to complete this evaluation form and return it no later than midnight, Wednesday, Wednesday, January 11th, after the training.

All steps must be completed in order to receive the 3 PSNA contact hours. We appreciate your compliance with all of these steps and hope you will find the training update to be helpful in your work!
